Failing to organise the proverbial in a brewery....
I covered the recent visit of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osbourne, to Harvey’s Brewery, Lewes. On a normal day politicians are terrified of doing something spur of the moment, just in case they are made to look foolish by the media, but just before an election the fear is stifling. He came, he saw, he didn’t even sip a beer - let alone organise a party. I understand the reasons why but the over-controlled situation just makes politicians look like automata and is counterproductive in my view.
I got a few useable shots after repeatedly asking George’s press officers to allow us to shoot a very simple walk-towads the camera.
Hardly Reservoir Dogs, but that’s the way they wanted it!
