Griff Rhys-Jones
After the success of the ITV series, Slow Train Through Africa with Griff Rhys-Jones, he’s back in Britain filming a new show. There is no fixed title yet but this week he has been filming the episode about the South Downs. I took a few images of him next to the medieval market cross in picturesque village of Alfriston.
I shot him back-lit and I used my favourite portrait lens, a Nikon 85 mm set at f2, to get a pin-sharp subject and really nice bokeh in the background. Luckily the village was unusually quiet so I didn’t have to wait long for a gap in the cars.
